What this site is

This site documents the Tidy project. It offers no accounts, payments, subscriptions, or paid services, and it does not sell software. Every product statement corresponds to behavior implemented in the repository; where the two disagree, the source code governs.

Software license

Tidy is open source. The source lives in the desktop/ directory of github.com/rambocode/tidy. Copying, modification, and redistribution are governed by the LICENSE file in that repository; this page neither constitutes nor replaces that license.

Current release status

The current version is 0.1.0. The installer is signed with a Developer ID (team HQ537XMLJY) and notarized by Apple.

There is exactly one official channel: github.com/rambocode/tidy/releases. A Tidy installer obtained anywhere else was not distributed by this project — do not run it. This is a tool that deletes files, so a copy of unknown origin carries real risk. You can verify the signing team yourself with codesign -dv --verbose=4 /Applications/Tidy.app and check it reads HQ537XMLJY.

Disclaimer

The software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Tidy performs destructive operations — deleting files and changing system maintenance settings. User-scope deletions route to the Trash by default and execution is limited to the candidates you selected in the preview, but you should still keep a working backup. The authors accept no liability for data loss or system problems arising from use of the software.

Name and marks

The public product name is Tidy; internal crate names, compatibility events, and shared logs keep the Mole name. Use the Tidy icon and wordmark according to desktop/docs/BRAND_GUIDELINES.md in the repository: do not recolor, rotate, outline, add effects, or extract the letterform from its tile.

Third parties

During update checks the app may open third-party pages or an app's own updater (App Store, Sparkle, GitHub, and others). Those destinations are governed by their own terms and are outside the scope of these terms.
